Born in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, my earliest performance was playing a tree in a school Goldilocks production when I was 5 or 6. I can't remember the title or if there even was one. I had no lines, I wore a green polo shirt with paper leaves stapled to it and swayed my arms from side to side. Isn't there a kind of trope about first roles being trees? I eventually came to see this as a good omen.

I fell in love with theatre while being part of the local Ad Hoc Theatre Group in my mid-teens, where my passion was really nurtured by the brilliant Bob Margrain - whose life inspires me to this day. My first play with Ad Hoc was closely followed by a high school musical, then it wasn't long before I was involved in a drama festival and performing in a play which toured regionally.

After studying postmodern theatre during drama studies at University of Chester, I went on to train as an actor for a year at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire - known in my time as Birmingham School of Acting. During my time in training, I worked with and learned from many industry professionals, gaining valuable experience in stage acting, singing, screen and broadcast.

Now based in Ireland, I am getting stuck into a constant range of screen and theatre work, having worked extensively in the arts since 2016. I sometimes work with Birmingham based Transition Stage Company too, as an admin and production assistant.
